KOKRAJHAR, AUG 21: The Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Kataria today visited Kokrajhar-the city of peace to attend meeting with officials of government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and it’s functionaries to take stock about the developmental activities carried to by BTR Govt.
Kataria reached Kokrajhar in a down Rajdhani Express train from Guwahati in the morning around 9.45 am.
He was accorded warm welcome and felicitation with traditional Aronai and bouquet at Kokrajhar railway station.
The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro, Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MLA Lawrence Islary and BTR MCLA, Madhab Chandra Chetry offered warm welcome and later proceeded to the different places for visit on his schedule.
Governor Kataria visited at the Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital, Central Institute of Technology (CIT) and several educational institutions during the visit schedule.
In the evening, Governor Kataria held a review meeting with elected members of Bodoland Territorial Region including chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, deputy CEM Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, officials of the BTR government being held at BTC Secretariat, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.
The meeting discussed thoroughly over the development and welfare initiatives being initiated by government of Bodoland Territorial Region.
Kataria have also asked the government of BTR to officials to render services for bringing healthy welfare and uplift across your communities.
CEM Pramod Boro said that governor’s visit in Kokrajhar will be Ushering of the common masses.
