KOKRAJHAR,MAY 17: Four persons were apprehended by police for allegedly raped of a minor in Kokrajhar district.
According to source, a minor girl age about 12 year was gang raped by a group of four persons in a moving car under Dotma police station.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening which was come into light when local peoples and Dotma police detected the car at a check post at Dotma where four persons and a minor girl were traveling.
Later, police caught the persons along with car and accordingly accused were confessed their perpetration of rape on a girl and arrested them immediately.
A case has been registered at Dotma police station, case no. 10/2023, under section 363, 376(d), 328 IPC, r/w Sec 6 of POCSO Act.
The arrested persons were produced before the court in Kokrajhar and remanded for three-day’s police custody today.
The arrested accused persons have been identified as Rubel Rehman, Imran Hussain, Mamunur Rehman and Anowar Hussain, who are age group of 19-22 years ( all are from Basundenga, Pratapgarhi under Tamarhat police station in Dhubri district).
