KOKRAJHAR,OCT 19: The Election Steering Committee office of the NDA alliance for the upcoming bye election at 31 No.Sidli LAC was inaugurated amidst a huge gathering of NDA alliance partners- BJP,UPPL and AGP leader and supporters being held at Kashikotra in Chirang district on Saturday.
Assam cabinet minister, Ashok Singhal, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region ( BTR ) & UPPL president, Pramod Boro inaugurated the election steering committee office in the august presence of Rajya Sabha MP & UPPL working president, Rwngwra Narzary, Lok Sabha MP, Joyanta Basumatary,and leaders from NDA alliance partners representing BJP, UPPL and AGP parties.
Notably, the bye-election in Sidli LAC will take place on 13 November along with other four LACs in the state of Assam.
The Sidli LAC bye election was necessitated following MLA Joyanta Basumatary resignation after elected to the Lok Sabha elections held in June last.
The bye election was necessitated to the Bongaigaon LAC following MLA Phani Bhushan Choudhury resignation after elected to the Lok Sabha.
In Behali LAC,the bye election will be conducted after MLA Ranjit Dutta elected to the Parliament.In Dholai LAC,the bye election has been necessitated following MLA & minister Parimal Suklabhaidhya resignation after elected to the Lok Sabha.
In Samaguri,the will be held following MLA Rakibul Hussain resignation after elected to the Parliament.
The counting of votes will take place on November 23.
NDA alliance partners- AGP candidate will contest in Bongaigaon LAC, UPPL candidate contest in Sidli and BJP party will in Behali, Samaguri and Dholai LACs in the bye elections.
The NDA alliance partners are expected to announce the names of the candidate’s within few days as the notification of the bye elections have so far published.
The NDA alliance partners have fully prepared to contest the upcoming bye elections in the state,and necessary strategies have been made at their respective constituencies.
Minister Singhal stated that the candidates of NDA alliance are winning all five LACs in the upcoming assembly bye elections in the state in a huge margin of votes.He said that the bio led NDA alliance government is committed to work for all round development of the state,,and accordingly rendering services across the state.
CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro stated that the UPPL candidate backed by NDA alliance is getting majority support from all sections of the society in the bye elections.He said that the BTR government and Assam government are unitedly initiating while rendering services for the common masses across the state since it’s inception in the state.
He had emphasized that the BTR government is fully committed to work for all round development of the citizens,and subsequently rendering services amongst the communities.He has expressed his confident that UPPL candidate backed by NDA alliance is getting last laugh from Sidli LAC in a huge margin of votes in the upcoming bye elections.
On a question about the Opposition’s strength, CEM Boro said that today the Opposition’s united strength is become irrelevant amongst the citizens in the state.He said that people have avoided the opposition parties in the state.

Meanwhile, the Election Steering Committee of NDA alliance was formed with Joyanta Basumatary,MP(Lok Sabha) as chairman and Biswajit Barman as chief convenor along with other 65 as members to meet a smooth successful of the bye election in Sidli LAC.
Among others, MLAs Lawrence Islary, Ajoy Roy, BTR executive members, Ranjit Basumatary,Nilut Swargiary, Wilson Hasda,Rakesh Brahma,and several senior leaders from UPPL, BJP and AGP party were present in the event.
