KOKRAJHAR,JAN 12: The Dwimu Nwgwr, Dimakuchi session of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha has been seen silent following the concluding of 64th annual conference and literary festival of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha after a four day colourful programme in Udalguri district on Sunday.

Assam cabinet minister, Pijush Hazarika graced as chief guest on the open session of the conference representing the chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on the concluding day.
Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) graced the occasion as inaugurator while Biswajit Daimary, speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly and chairman of the reception committee of the conference extended his welcome address in the event.

The session was chaired by Dr Surath Narzary, president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha,and graced by Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, BTR deputy CEM, Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, MPs Rwngwra Narzary, Joyanta Basumatary, BKWAC CEM,Mihiniswar Basumatary, deputy CEM, Romeo P Narzary, noted writer and ex president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Toren Chandra Boro,ex vice president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha,Gopinath Borgoyary,ABSU president Dipen Boro, BKWAC chairman,Anil Basumatary, BTR executive members, Ranjit Basumatary, Daobaisa Boro,Ranendra Narzary,Sanjit Tanthi, Saikhong Basumatary,Sajal Kumar Singha, MLAs Lawrence Islary,Jiron Basumatary, Jolen Daimary.

The event witnessed participation delegation team from neighbouring countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, states like NCR Delhi,West Bengal, Tripura, Meghalaya,and several districts of the state of Assam.
A multi community cultural demonstrations,apart from Bodo, Nepali, Adivashi,Koch Rajbongshi, Bhutanese, Bangladesh was also showcased on the occasion.

The exhibition venue for the conference saw a huge gathering of visitors and participants in the four day colourful programme scheduled.
The exhibition exhibited various disciplines in the field of different sectors including the line departments of government of Bodoland Territorial Region that gathered a huge attractions.

The Dimakuchi session of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha has been regarded as a historic as the sabha declared it as a annual conference and literary festival.
Minister Hazarika hailed the annual session of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha which witnessed a grand participation cutting across the communities in the region.He stated that under the leadership of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha,the language and educational environment of the Bodos have reached out at this juncture,and hopeful that literature aspects will also be high in days to come.He said that the Bodo community and it’s education, language are getting new heights as many writers and authors are creating literary ventures across the state.

CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro said that the 64th annual session of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha concluded today at Dwimu Nwgwr, Dimakuchi, in Udalguri district, following a vibrant four-day celebration of Bodo language, literature, and culture.
He stated that this year’s session witnessed participation from delegates and scholars across Assam, Nepal, Bangladesh, West Bengal, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.
He has recalled contributions of former sahitya sabha leaders who were shouldered responsibilities of leadership and rendered services towards the welfare and uplift of the Bodo language and education in the state.He mentioned that the Bodo Sahitya Sabha is an apex body of the Bodo community,and accordingly people are getting ray of hope for the healthy integrational development of education and literature.

” The event served as a platform for intellectual exchange, with discussions and presentations on preserving and promoting the Bodo language and addressing key socio-cultural issues faced by the community. Cultural performances and exhibitions further highlighted the rich heritage of the Bodo people”, CEM Boro said.

He has opined that the BTR government is is working dedicatedly towards the development and uplift of the Bodo language and education,and subsequently several educational institutions have so far provicialised and several hundred teachers are made regularised since formation of BTR government in 2020(15th December).
