KOKRAJHAR, JULY 16: In a shocking, a brave CRPF Cobra jawan died during the anti-naxal operation on Wednesday morning in Jharkhand.
Immediately after getting information about the incident, a wave of mourning and grief has swept in Kokrajhar after Praneswar Koch, a CRPF jawan from Magurmari village under Kokrajhar police station, was martyred in the line of duty during an anti-Naxal operation.The incident took place in Bokaro district of Jharkhand early this morning.
Serving with the 209 COBRA Battalion of the CRPF, Koch and his team came under ambush during a fierce gunfight with Naxals. In the exchange of fire, two Naxals were also neutralised.
Praneswar Koch joined the CRPF in 2018, dedicating himself to the service of the nation. He is survived by his wife, their 5-year-old child, his parents, and siblings.
Bireswar Koch, father of Praneswar Koch told this Correspondent that he recieved a call from an official of CRPF around 8 am in the morning about the incident, and his son was admitted to hospital on a serious condition.However, within a few hours, he was confirmed about his son’s martyred in the gun fighting with Naxalites.He said that his son Praneswar Koch joined the CRPF few seven years ago,and devoted his life in the national protection.He said that his son was only bread earner in his family.He informed that his son’s body will be reached at his Magurmari residence on Thursday morning.
” Today morning,I received the information about the incident that shocked my family.His son become martyred for the caused of the country’s protection”,Bireswar Koch said.
Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region has extended his deep mourning and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Praneswar Koch after his died in gun fighting in Jharkhand.
” It is a heartbreaking to learn that Kokrajhar’s brave son, CT/GD Parneswar Koch, has made the supreme sacrifice while battling naxals in Jharkhand today.
I offer my deepest tributes to the valiant jawan and extend my heartfelt condolences to his grieving family and loved ones. His courage and devotion to duty will forever be remembered”, Boro said.
