Colloquium on Good Governance and Participatory Democracy held in Bodoland

KOKRAJHAR, DEC 13: The government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) conducted a ‘Colloquium on Good Governance and Participatory Democracy‘ in Bodoland on Wednesday being held at the Bodofa Cultural Complex in Kokrajhar.

The event was organised to commemorate the three years completion of the UPPL led UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government in BTR under the leadership of Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region.

Notably, the BTR government was formed on 15th December in 2020 under the alliance spirit of UPPL-BJP-GSP to render dedicated humanity services and good governance in the Bodoland Territorial Region.
Reddy Subrahmanyam, ex IAS, Founder, Centre for Research in Schemes and Policies, graced the occasion as key speaker and addressed on the topic of ‘good governance through social accountability’ and ‘effective planning for good governance.

Prof Trilochan Sastry, Professor IIM in Decision Sciences Area, chairperson association for democratic reforms, presented his addressed on the topic of ‘participatory democracy.’

The session was chaired by deputy chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, and attended by BTCLA speaker Katiram Boro, Akash Deep, IAS, Principal Secretary, BTR Govt, Dr. Sunil Kaul, Advisor to CEM, Social Development, BTR.

CEM Boro said that the program has been emphasizing for bringing healthy welfare and good governance across the Bodoland region. He informed that the BTR government is committed to work for all round development and welfare for all sections of the communities. He said that the event was organised to commemorates the three years of peace, progress, and good governance in Bodoland Territorial Region. He has extended his gratitude and sincere thanks to all citizens of the region on the completion of three year in the government in BTR.
