KOKRAJHAR,JUNE 21: Chief Minister,Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma dedicated the newly constructed two District Jails in Chirang and Baksa district in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) on Saturday.
CM Sarma inaugurated the newly constructed district jail, Kajalgaon of Chirang district.The state of the art jail was constructed by Jail department, Government of Assam for facilitating capacity of residing for 500 jail inmates.The newly constructed jail is regarded as one of top facilities space available in the state of Assam.
CM Sarma also inaugurated the district jail, Baksa at Nikashi amidst presence of State Jail Minister, Rupesh Goala, Pramod Boro,the CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region,and several dignataries.
Rajya Sabha MP, Rwngwra Narzary,Lok Sabha MP, Joyanta Basumatary, MLAs Nirmal Kumar Brahma, Ajoy Kumar Roy were prominent attendees in the district jail opening ceremony in Chirang.
