KOKRAJHAR,MAR 7: The first Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra (PM Pharmacy) was inaugurated by Lok Sabha MP, Joyanta Basumatary in Chirang District on the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Diwas, marking a significant step towards making affordable healthcare accessible to the people of the region on Friday.
During the ceremony, the special guests had the opportunity to interact with the beneficiaries, learning about the various benefits and facilities offered by the Kendra. The new pharmacy aims to provide quality and affordable generic medicines to the people of Chirang, furthering the Government’s commitment to ensuring better healthcare for all. The Kendra will significantly improve access to essential medicines, helping individuals and families reduce their healthcare costs.

The opening of the PM Pharmacy is a milestone for Chirang District, enhancing the district’s healthcare infrastructure and contributing to the vision of a healthier and more equitable society.
The event was graced by a distinguished lineup of guests, including Chirang District Commissioner Jatin Bora; Jayanta Kherkatary, BTC CHD Co-Operation; Kohinoor Narzary, DRCS, Chirang; Bar Lampha Owary, Additional Register; Dr. Shangrang Brahma, OSD to CEM, BTR and Birdao Mushahary, President, No. 14 Chirang Duar Block Committee, UPPL. Additionally, the District Media Expert, the Health Team of Shantipur SD, members of Runikhata-Shantipur SS Ltd and other key personnel were present.
