Chirang all set to conduct counting of votes

KOKRAJHAR,NOV 22: The Chirang district administration and election authorities is all set to conduct the counting of votes for the 31 no. Sidli LAC bye-election on Saturday to be held at the district centre complex, Kajalgaon.
Necessary arrangement and preparations have been completed to conduct the counting of votes amidst a strong security vigil along the counting centre and strong room.

Notably, the bye elections for five assembly constituencies in the state of Assam including Sidli LAC was held on November 13,and voting turned out was nearly 75.50% percent.
Notably,the bye election was necessitated in Sidli LAC due to resignation of MLA Joyanta Basumatary following elected to the Lok Sabha in the recently concluded Parliamentary elections held in June last.

The bye-election in Sidli LAC was taken place in 273 polling stations across the Sidli LAC.
The fates of the contesting three candidates will be opened tomorrow morning from the Sidli LAC.

UPPL candidate Nirmal Kumar Brahma, backed by the NDA alliance,Sanjib Wary of Congress and Suddha Kumar Basumatary of BPF party contested the bye-election.
Meanwhile, each of the contesting candidates have claimed their winning in the bye elections from Sidli LAC.

UPPL candidate Nirmal Kumar Brahma, expressed his confident that he is getting last laugh from the constituency as peoples cutting across the communities voted in favour of UPPL party, backed by the NDA alliance.He said that common masses across the constituency had come forward to extend support to the UPPL candidate,and accordingly his winning is cleared.He said that he is winning the Sidli LAC in a huge margin of votes.

” People’s mandate will be come forward in favour of UPPL and NDA alliance in Sidli LAC”, said Pramod Boro, the CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region,and UPPL president.
BPF candidate, Suddha Kumar Basumatary, claimed that he is getting last laugh from the Sidli LAC as common voters cast their votes in favour of his candidature.
