CEM Pramod Boro visits road accident victim family members at Kachugaon

KOKRAJHAR,AUG 13: The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) , Pramod Boro visited at the victim’s family members of the tragic road accident at Gurufela Hatigarh village under Kachugaon police station in Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district on Tuesday.

A heavy truck was collided with a Bolero picked up vehicle on Monday infront of the Kachugaon Mahamaya temple along the 27 national highway where five persons died and another is undergoing treatment at the hospital after the incidents.
Notably,the death and injury persons were Bol Bum devotees,who were supposed to return from the Mahamaya temple after offering prayers for their home.

The truck was in a high speed bound for Mumbai from Guwahati,and subsequently hit and collided the Bolero picked up vehicle where four persons died on the spot and two others sustained serious injuries.
The injury persons were immediately rushed to the Gossaigaon hospital,and one was declared death at the hospital,and death toll goes five.
The death persons were identified as Sukraman Roy (20),Joy Roy (11), Bappi Ghosh (21), Basudev Roy (26) and Naba Roy.

The CEM of BTR,who is also UPPL president,Boro accompanied with BTR executive member, Ukil Mushahary, ex-MLA Chandi Basumatary, UPPL secretary Somnath Narzary,Media secretary Hantigiri Narzary,Youth working president Iraqdao Brahma, visited at all five tragic accident’s victim family members at Hatigarh village,and met family members.He took stock about the tragic road accident incident,and extended deep condolences and mourning on the tragic death of the five persons.

” The tragic accident near Mahamaya Temple in Kachugaon that claimed the lives of five Bol Bum devotees was truly a heart wrenching. We stand in solidarity with the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident”, Boro said.
He said that today he visited at Gurufela Hatigarh village to meet the bereaved families of the five Bol Bum devotees who lost their lives in the tragic accident near Mahamaya Temple yesterday under Kachugaon police station.
“I  offered my condolences to the family members of the victims and consoled them in their hour of grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families”, he added.

He also assured that the BTR government in consultation with Gossaigaon sub-divisional office is taking a stern measure for construction of barricades/speed breaker along the national highway infront of the Mahamaya temple.He said that the BTR government is initiating a step to extend necessary possible support to the victim family members of the tragic road mishap incident in days to come ahead.
