KOKRAJHAR ,NOV 27: Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR) on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for construction of an approach road connecting NH-127E to the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) at Dolbari in Baksa district amidst presence of BTCLA speaker Katiram Boro, MLA Bhupen Boro, BTR executive member, Rakesh Brahma.
The project has been aimed to improve the infrastructure, enhance accessibility, and foster regional development by linking the school with key transportation routes.
The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including government officials, and local citizens.
Stepping to initiate agriculture and development Initiatives, CEM Boro also distributed potato seed tubers to local farmers in Dolbari village as part of an initiative connecting them with Barama Cold Storage. This effort aims to strengthen the agricultural supply chain, ensuring efficient storage and distribution. Modern farming equipment, including tractors and tools, was also handed over under the Bodoland Pig Mission, a flagship program to promote sustainable agriculture and improve productivity in crop and livestock sectors.
Earlier, Boro visited the Barama Cold Storage facility at Kadamtol which have a capacity of 7,500 MT, the facility, completed in June 2021 by BTC’s Agriculture Engineering Wing, is currently undergoing repairs to enhance its functionality for supporting the farming community.
