KOKRAJHAR,AUG 26: In a significant development for infrastructural in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro laid the foundation stones to construct the ‘state of the art’ guests house at two different places in Kokrajhar on Monday amid presence of government officials, and local peoples.
CEM Boro laid the foundation stone to construct Town Hall cum Auditorium at Habrubari in Kokrajhar town amidst the presence of EM of BTR, Wilson Hasda, senior government officials and local citizens.
The Town Hall would be constructed with an amounting of INR 24 crore under the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF) under the department of Housing and Urban Affairs,Govt of Assam.
CEM Boro also laid the foundation stone to construct a state of the art Guest House at the Haloadal village under Kokrajhar development block to facilitate community welfare services and hospitality in the region.
The Guest House would be constructed amounting of INR 24 crore under the grant to the BTC for infrastructure development fund for the financial year 2022-23, under the Public Works Department, Govt of BTC (Assam).
Notably, the equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and the proposed Town Hall cum 800-seat capacity Auditorium in Kokrajhar will be a valuable addition to the civic infrastructure of Kokrajhar-The City of Peace.
CEM Boro stated that the government of BTR is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the region since it’s inception to the reign.He informed that the existing SAI stadium in Kokrajhar so far upgraded to the FIFA standard level,and accordingly necessary infrastructural developments are done.He said that the needy feeling of high class guests house in Kokrajhar would be fulfilled in days to come ahead through the laying the foundation stones of the Town Hall and State of the Art Guest House.
He has extended his sincere thanks to the peoples of Habrubari and Haloadal Bangaldoba Thalguri for allowing to construct the guests house in the area.
He has hopeful that the infrastructural development initiative will be beneficial for the local peoples in the region.
