CEM Pramod Boro lays foundation stones for 41 developmental projects in BTR

KOKRAJHAR, MAR 5: Reiterating government of Bodoland Territorial Region’s(BTR) commitment for creating a peaceful, green & smart Bodoland, the chief executive member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro dedicated several crucial development initiatives for the people of the Bodoland region at various places in Kokrajhar district.

Remarkably, CEM Pramod Boro, on Tuesday itself has dedicated 26 numbers of schemes to the people of Bodoland region, and laid the foundation stones for 41 projects under various departments of Bodoland Territorial Region including PWD (roads), PWD (building), Water resources, Education departments.

He laid the foundation stone for the construction of Model Secondary Schools at tea garden areas at Doloabari tea garden in Kokrajhar to facilitate healthy welfare and uplift of the educational environment amongst the citizens.
The initiative has been significantly emphasizing to enhance educational infrastructure, providing quality education and fostering development in the tea garden areas.
Under the mission of quality education in the region,taking forward to ensure holistic, inclusive & quality education for the children of BTR, laid the foundation stones for construction of Dotma Girls’ High School and eight Secondary & Higher Secondary schools under NESIDS, RIDF & Samagra Shiksha Scheme in Kokrajhar.

Boro also distributed farm tools & equipments under PMAAGY to the beneficiaries of four SHGs under Kokrajhar & Dotma development blocks in Kokrajhar under Agriculture department..
He also flagged of three Ambulances, provided from the Health & Family Welfare department, Govt of BTR with an amounting of for ₹ 51 lakhs.
Boro said that the BTR government has committed to work for all round development of the Bodoland region,and subsequently rendering services for bringing healthy welfare and well-being of the society since it’s inception.
” Today, we(Govt of BTR) took a giant stride forward in our mission of building a developed Bodoland Territorial Region. Our Government remains steadfastly committed towards realising the mission of a peaceful, green & smart Bodoland”, Boro said.

On a question about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Boro,who is also president of UPPL, said that the UPPL party is fully prepared to participate in the Parliamentary elections under the banner of NDA,and hopeful that NDA alliance is getting majority seats across the country.
He said that NDA alliance is winning majority seats across the state of Assam including Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat in the ensuing parliamentary elections.
He informed that there is no strong based of opposition parties in the state.
CEM Boro was accompanied with BTR executive member Reoreoa Narzihary, MLA Lawrence Islary, several dignataries during the event.
