KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 2: Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro laid the foundation stone for construction of Rice Mill with 4MT/hr capacity under Mission Fin Rwdwmkhang today Gongar Jaoflong village near Serfanguri in Kokrajhar district.
Notably, the Mission Fin Rwdwmkhang is a flagship programme initiated by government of Bodoland Territorial Region for sustainable rehabilitation of former NDFB cadres and members.
The Rice Mill will be run by Kokrajhar Rwdwm Rice Cooperative and supported by government of BTR through Mission Fin Rwdwmkhang and Chief Minister Samgra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY), Govt. of Assam which has been expected that the Rice Mill will be operational by the month of December, 2023.
CEM Boro has emphasised that the Mission Fin Rwdwmkhang will create multiple livelihood options especially for the former NDFB cadres and unemployed youths of Bodoland region in general. He has expressed his hopeful that the mission initiated by government of BTR will be facilitating livelihood earning opportunities among the former NDFB cadres and local youths.
