CEM Pramod Boro lays foundation stone  for construction of welcome gate

KOKRAJHAR, JULY 5: A new look will be ushered at Karigaon along the 31C National Highway on the Jwhwlao Dwimalu (JD) Road, Kokrajhar with the attractive designs,and beautiful scenes in days to come, which has been marking the entry point for Kokrajhar.

The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro laid the foundation stone to construct welcome gate with attractive design amidst presence of deputy CEM of BTR, Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, MLA Lawrence Islary,and senior government officials.

The welcome gate would be constructed amounting of Rs.1.81 crores from government of BTR which has been aimed to accord a thorough welcome to the Kokrajhar,the city of peace,heart town of Bodoland Territorial Region.

CEM Boro said that the government of BTR has been aimed to construct a welcome gate at Karigaon along the National Highway on the JD Road towards the entry road to the Kokrajhar town. He has emphasized that the welcome gate will enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area.
He also said proposals have been made for upgrading the 20 km Karigaon-Kokrajhar road to a four lane.
He said that the welcome gate would be ushered at the attractive looking on the road connectivity leading to the Kokrajhar town.He said that the BTR government is committed to work for all round development of the citizens.
