CEM Pramod Boro lays foundation stone for Bodofa statue at CIT in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, JULY 25: Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) laid the foundation stone for construction of statue of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma at the Central Institute of Technology (CIT) campus in Kokrajhar on Friday.

The statue will be constructed under the initiative of the CIT Society at an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakhs, which will be funded by the Govt of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).

CEM Pramod Boro stated that the statue has been constructing for honouring society’s icon and empowering community’s future.He said that the government of BTC has been emphasizing towards the welfare and development of all communities across the Bodoland region.

” Honouring our icons, empowering our future, I’m delighted to lay the foundation stone for the construction of revered Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma’s statue in the premises of CIT, Kokrajhar”,Boro said.

The foundation laying ceremony was attended by Prof. Devendra Jalihal, Director (Additional Charge), CIT Kokrajhar, faculty members, and senior officials among others.
