KOKRAJHAR, MAR 12: Empowering the women entrepreneurs towards self reliance & financial independence has been a top priority of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), and accordingly distributed financial assistance cheques of ₹25,000 each (first instalment of ₹ 75,000) under Mainao Swrang Bithangkhi to 2049 women-led Self Help Groups (SHGs) on Tuesday at a programme held at Dimakuchi in Udalguri district.

Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) graced the occasion as chief guest, and distributed the cheques amongst the SHGs beneficiaries amidst presence of Dilip Saikia,Lok Sabha MP,and several dignataries.
The financial assistance was given to the SHGs under the flagship programme of Mainao Swrang Bithangkhi initiative initiated by Govt of BTR.

CEM Boro told that the the BTR is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and uplift of the society.
” The government of BTR achieved a milestone by giving financial support under our flagship initiative to 6000 SHGs in this financial year alone, thus promoting grassroots entrepreneurship and incubating a culture of atmanirbharta in the women of BTR.

Meanwhile, continuing Assam’s #ViKasYatra under the guidance of Hon’ble CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, today, CEM Pramod Boro laid the Foundation Stone for the new Higher Secondary School building in Kalaigaon, Udalguri district.
Further,CEM also laid Foundation Stone for School Building of Bholabari High School at Udalguri.
The transformative initiative aims to provide improved educational infrastructure, fostering a conducive environment for enhanced learning experiences, nurturing the potential of students, and promoting educational growth.
