KOKRAJHAR, MAY 18: At-least 42 passengers of a bus were injured in a road mishap at National Highway at Athiabari area under Serfanguri PS in Kokrajhar district on Saturday morning.
The bus, with registration number AS01 PC 5625, was traveling from Mirza, Guwahati bound for West Bengal when it lost control and crashed into the divider on the 31C National Highway today morning.
The injured passengers were immediately rushed the Dotma hospital and later referred to Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital for further treatment. The bus driver fled the scene following the accident.
Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma visited Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital to check on the injured and assess the situation.
He interacted with he injured patients at the medical college,and enquired about the health condition of the injury persons.
Pramod Boro, the chief executive member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region, have expressed his anguished to learn of the bus accident that occurred this morning on the 31C natinal highway at Athiabari under Serfanguri police station in Kokrajhar today.
The injured have been taken to Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital and Dotma Primary Health Centre for treatment.
