BU observes anti ragging week

KOKRAJHAR,AUG 14: An Anti-Ragging programme was organized jointly by the Bodoland University Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad at the university campus in Kokrajhar on Monday to create awareness on ragging free environment amongst student fraternities.

More than 600 students participated in the event, which was graced by Prof. Babulal Ahuja,Vice-Chancellor of Bodoland University.
Prof. Ahuja,in his speech, emphasized the importance of focusing on studies and maintaining a ragging-free environment on campus.

Dr. Bihung Brahma, Assistant Professor of Central Institute of Technology (CIT), graced as invited guest and delivered a speech urging students to avoid ragging activities, highlighting their potential negative impact on future prospects. Mr. Jitendra Kumar Prasad, Advocate with the Kokrajhar District Legal Services Authority, addressed the legal complexities and consequences of ragging in educational institutions.

The event was also attended by faculty members and university office bearers.
The university is observing Anti-Ragging Week from August 12th to 18th, 2024, to further raise awareness among students, in line with UGC guidelines.
