BTR districts join the celebration of Teacher’s Day

KOKRAJHAR,SEP 5: Along with rest of the state,the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) districts joins the celebration of 63rd Teacher’s Day on Thursday to mark the birth anniversary of eminent educationist,scholar and former president of India,Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
The day was seen celebration of the great personality’s birth anniversary with day-long colourful programme scheduled at different educational institutions across the Bodoland region.

In Chirang, the education department, government of Bodoland Territorial Region centrally celebrated the Teacher’s Day at RCCC Auditorium,BGR Dhaligaon that witnessed grand gathering of teachers, student and guardians from different educational institutions of Chirang district.

Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region,MPs Rwngwra Narzary, Joyanta Basumatary,MLA Jiran Basumatary,EMs of BTR,Ranjit Basumatary, Gautam Das,Dharma Narayan Das, Nilut Swargiary were as guests and offered floral tributes to Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan on the occasion.

During the event, CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro handed over appreciation certificate from the department of education, government of BTR to all teachers who are relentlessly rendering teaching services for bringing quality education amongst the students in the schools.

CEM Boro said that the teachers are guiding beacons of the society who disseminate the gift of knowledge upon the citizens and mould students into becoming good human beings.
Boro extended his happy teacher’s day greetings to all teachers,said that the teachers are torch bearer of the society,so the teaching fraternities must be dedicated with bold initiative to render teaching services.
He has interacted with the teachers and commended them for their yeoman’s service to the society of empowering the youth of Bodoland region as skilled human resource of the region through quality education. He also sought suggestions from teachers to further improve the education sector in Bodoland Territorial Region.
He has urged the teaching fraternities to  work hard for acquiring better achievement of educational environment in the region.
He informed that the government of BTR remains committed to provide all assistance to all schools of the region and helping hand in augmenting of efforts to provide quality education in days to come.

In Kokrajhar,the Teacher’s Day was celebrated at various educational institutions with befitting programme scheduled.
The UN Academy, Kokrajhar, a private managed Bodo medium school celebrated the day at it’s academy complex in Kokrajhar.
Students have offered their warm respect to all the teaching fraternities with bouquet and gift items on the occasion besides performing cultural showcase which attracted the gathering.

The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) also celebrated the day at different school premises under various anchalik committee/unit levels across the state of Assam.
ABSU president Dipen Boro extended his happy greetings to all teaching fraternities on the occasion of Teacher’s Day celebration.
Various educational institutions including school,colleges in Udalguri and Baksa districts gave also celebrated the Teacher’s Day at their respective institutions with befitting programme scheduled.
