BTC sets up committee to probe book procurement issues

KOKRAJHAR ,MAY 21: Stepping to investigate into the alleged book procuring anomalies in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), the government of Bodoland Territorial Council has formed a High-Level Committee to investigate reports of problems in the book procurement process. 

Need to be mentioned that an allegations of four crore’s irregularities on the book procurement was raised in the department of Education of BTC for a past few days ago.
The government of BTC has initiated to form the high level committee to investigate the issues,and accordingly initiated the measures.
This step follows media reports suggesting possible irregularities.

In a notification issued by the Principal Secretary of BTC, notified that the committee has formed with Sabda Ram Rabha as Chairperson,who is Standing Counsel of BTC at the Gauhati High Court, Guwahati.
The committee members are included Dhiraj Saud, ACS, Secretary of BTC as Member Secretary, Sujit Baglari, ACS, Bidhan Das,Registrar, Bodoland University and  Saroj Kr. Dora, AFS(all members).
The committee’s work began from Tuesday (May 20) and will submit its report within 15 days. 

Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Council stated that the government of BTC has so far initiated it’s stern step against allegedly reports of book procuring anomalies in the department of Education. He said that the recently formed high level committee is taking necessary strategies while investigating the allegedly irregularities reported on the media.He said that no any one involved person would be spared if found guilty into the allegedly reported irregularities.
