Kokrajhar, September 23: The polling for the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Elections 2025 concluded successfully across all 12 constituencies of Kokrajhar district on 22nd September, recording an overall voter turnout of 82.94 percent. The polling process began on time in every station and was carried out peacefully, with no incidents of violence reported. No re-poll was required in any constituency. Altogether, 700,951 voters were enrolled in the district, with 350534 male and 350412 female voters. Total 581,379 votes were cast across 942 polling stations in a smooth and orderly manner.
The constituency-wise voter turnout in the BTC Elections 2025 recorded Parbatjhora (ST) with the highest participation at 87.59%, followed by Srirampur (Non-ST) at 86.96% and Guma (Open) at 84.57%. Fakiragram (Non-ST) saw a turnout of 85.60%, while Jamduar (ST), Dotma (ST), Banargaon (ST), and Kachugaon (ST) reported 82.23%, 82.33%, 82.84%, and 82.07% respectively. Salakati (ST) recorded 81.61%, Baukhungri (ST) 82.02%, Sorabil (ST) 79.90%, and Debargaon (ST) at 76.97%, reflecting strong voter engagement across the district overall.
The District Administration expressed satisfaction at the orderly conduct of polling and thanked polling personnel, security forces and the voters for their cooperation and enthusiasm in strengthening the democratic process.
