KOKRAJHAR, JULY 14: The All Bodo Students Union today Submitted a memorandum to Chief Election commission of Assam and Registerer of Guwahati high court through the Kokrajhar District Commissioner.
ABSU demanded that the Electoral Roll for the upcoming BTC Election 2025 be published in Bodo language along with Assamese, in accordance with the provisions of the Assam Official Language (Amendment) Act, 2020.
Dipen Boro stressed that Bodo, being listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India, must be treated on par with other official languages.
The inclusion of a 50-mark Bodo language paper in the Assam Judicial Service Grade-III Mains Examination and The introduction of a 20-mark Bodo language paper in the Junior Administrative Assistant recruitment exam for district courts in Assam, as per a notification issued by the Gauhati High Court.
ABSU President Dipen boro also warns to burn AJS exam paper on 17 July where ABSU will organise a Agitation programme in Various district of Assam if Bodo language is not included in AJS exam.
