BPF’s 150 members joins UPPL party in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, JULY 5: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) party is gaining up it’s popularity amongst the citizens in Bodoland Territorial Region,and hence more than 150 new members from the Opposition BPF party joined the UPPL party during the CWC meeting of the UPPL being held at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari in Kokrajhar on Friday.

The newly members were active members of BPF party, who are coming from ward no.4 of Kokrajhar town under the Debargaon Block Committee, were offered warm welcome and felicitation with traditional Aronai, Phulam Gamocha and party mafflers on the occasion.

UPPL President and CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro, cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP , Joyanta Basumatary, UPPL general secretaries, Raju Kumar Narzary, Madhab Chandra Chetry, MLAs, Lawrence Islary, Jiron Basumatary,and several senior party leaders were present in the event.

Meanwhile, the 23rd central working committee of the party was held today at the Bodofa Cultural Complex under the chairmanship of Pramod Boro, UPPL president and CEM of BTR.
The party discussed widely on the party’s uplift and development,and prepared strategies towards building of strengthening of the party.

CEM Boro while welcoming the newly joined members said,” It was a glad moment to welcome over 150 new members from BPF and various SHG groups of Kokrajhar who joined our UPPL family”.
He said that the post United People’s Party Liberal -UPPL’s spectacular victory in the Lok Sabha elections, the 23rd central working committee meeting, convened in Kokrajhar today, saw in-depth deliberations. 
” We discussed the future plans of UPPL, along with several important organisational matters of the party, with the respected members of the CWC. All our party workers are highly motivated and ready to advance UPPL’s vision, working even more devotedly at the ground level for the peace & progress of BTR. The victory in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha represents a vote of trust by the people of BTR in UPPL’s vision of peace and progress. It is imperative that we do not rest on our laurels but instead redouble our efforts to work harder for the welfare and upliftment of the people of Bodoland Region “, Boro added.
