Bongaigaon Refinery Donates Advanced Diagnostic Equipment to Chirang

KOKRAJHAR,APRIL 11:  In a significant step towards combating  the Tuberculosis (TB) in Chirang district, Bongaigaon Refinery inaugurated state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment at JSB Civil Hospital, Kajalgaon as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative on Friday. 
The event, chaired by Jatin Bora, District Commissioner of Chirang, marked a major milestone in enhancing the district’s public health infrastructure to check and control the TB related cases.

As part of the initiative, Bongaigaon Refinery has provided two ultra-portable, high-tech X-ray machines to enable early TB detection in remote and underserved areas. Additionally, two CBNAAT machines, crucial for identifying Multi-Drug Resistant TB (MDR-TB), were handed over to strengthen diagnostic capabilities.

Earlier, the refinery had also contributed three TRUNAT machines under the same CSR program, further reinforcing the district’s capacity to detect and manage TB cases efficiently.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Rajesh Pandey, District TB Officer, highlighted the vital role of public-private partnerships in healthcare and reaffirmed Bongaigaon Refinery’s continued support for the region’s health needs.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Nayan Kumar Barua, Executive Director, Bongaigaon Refinery; Dr. Rejaul Karim, Joint Director of Health Services, Chirang; and Dr. Raju Kumar Das, District Nodal Officer, along with senior officials from Bongaigaon Refinery and NHM Chirang.

The initiative initiated by the Bongaigaon Refinery towards the combating the TB in the district.
