KOKRAJHAR, FEB 16: The first ever Bodoland International Wildlife Conference, 2024 begins with a three day colourful programme scheduled on Friday being held at Bansbari of Manas Tiger Reserve in Baksa district
The event was organised by the department of Forest & Environment, government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) which has been emphasizing for bringing awareness on the conservation of forest and wildlife in Bodoland region.

Nearly fifteen resource persons including four from internationally acclaimed personalities from Bhutan, Italy and Bangladesh countries and rests are from seven states of India.
The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guest amidst presence of BTR executive member of Forest and Environment department, Ranjit Basumatary and several dignataries.

CEM Boro said that the Bodoland region is a land blessed with a diverse & rich biodiversity, and verdant biospheres are home to many an exotic & endangered species which has been paving the way for hotspot of tourism sector.
He has lauded the organisers for organising the international conference where a thoroughly over the deep relationship conservation of forest and wildlife across the region.

” It is a happy moment to be part of the inaugural ceremony of the Bodoland International Wildlife Conference at Bansbari along the Manas Tiger Reserve Project, Baksa.Our BTR is a land blessed with a diverse & rich biodiversity, and our verdant biospheres are home to many an exotic & endangered species”, Boro said adding that the conference will seek to brainstorm sustainable solutions to ensure the preservation of BTR’s incredible ecosystems.
” It remains our government’s enduring effort to bring together all stakeholders towards creating & securing the safe havens for our BTR’s wildlife”,he said.

Among others, BTR EMs Reoreoa Narzihary,Dr Dharma Narayan Das, MCLA Montu Boro were prominent attendees in the event.
