Bodoland International Knowledge Festival to begin Feb 27

KOKRAJHAR, FEB 25: The preparation and arrangements have got underway to host the first ever Bodoland International Knowledge Festival (BIKF), 2023 to be held at Bodoland University campus, Debargaon in Kokrajhar.

The festival will be starting on February 27 with a four day long programme scheduled which is expecting to be witnessed huge thronging of participants apart from research scholars, intellectuals, academicians, social activists who are national, internationally figured personalities including Bollywood celebrities Vivek Oberoi, Sonu Sood in the event.

The event has organised by Bodoland University under the aegis of government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) as necessary preparation and arrangements are going on to meet a grand success of the knowledge festival.

During the inaugural day of the event, Novel Laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus, Union Minister RK Singh, chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bollywood celebrity Vivek Oberoi are attending as chief guest,invited guests respectively.

Organising committee members and Bodoland University faculty members are seeing busy on preparation and arrangements for holding the event in a grand manner. The event has been emphasizing for creating, foster and promote knowledge exchange, solution sharing, partnership building for social development priorities & key sustainable development goals (SDGs) 2030 in Bodoland region. Many research scholars, knowledge experts,social thinkers, educationists representing different world countries including embassy from Thailand,USA, Myanmar are so far confirmed for their participation the event.

Registrar of Bodoland University,Dr Subung Basumatary while talking exclusively with this Correspondent told that the festival has been emphasizing for bringing up healthy welfare and integration as well promoting the exchange of knowledge among the citizens across the globe.

  • He informed that preparation and arrangements for the event has got underway to meet a smooth successful with various colourful programmes.
  • He said that the knowledge festival is starting on February 27 in Kokrajhar which is emphasizing to explore exchange of knowledge among the citizens. He informed that till date more 50 scholars from different world countries have so far confirmed for their participation in the festival.


Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro said that the festival has been aiming to create, foster and promote knowledge exchange, solution sharing, partnership building for social development priorities & key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 in Bodoland Territorial Region.
Boro has expressed his hopeful that the upcoming knowledge festival is getting a grand success with huge participation as well cooperation from different corners of the region.
