Assam women champions in senior national Tchoukball championship

KOKRAJHAR,SEP 28: The Assam women team has spotted champion while Punjab men team spotted champions in the senior national Tchoukball championship 2024 held at Nagour Khandhenu in Joypur, Rajasthan.

The 15th senior national Tchoukball championship was concluded on Friday with four-day programme scheduled held at the Nagour Khandhenu in Rajasthan.

In the Women category,Assam team defeated Punjab by 7 points to lift the championship spot which was organised by Indian Tchoukball Federation.
Maharastra spotted third in the championship.
In the men category, Punjab spotted first, Maharashtra and West Bengal spotted second and third respectively.
Altogether 22 states participated in the championship.

Meanwhile, the Assam State Tchoukball Association offered warm welcome and felicitation to the winning team members of the women team today at Kokrajhar railway station.
The women team of Assam Tchoukball Association reached at Kokrajhar railway station where secretary of the state association,Ashok Goyary extended warm welcome and felicitation with bouquet and traditional Aronai.

Goyary stated that the championship was concluded recently at Joypur in Rajasthan.He said that the Assam women team become championship defeating Punjab team.He said that the championship event created sporting amusement amongst the participants,and gathered attraction amongst the audience.
