All party delegation team visits Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR,DEC 19: A one-day Budget Session of Assam Legislative Assembly is set to be held in Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly(BTCLA ) House,Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar in February,2025 next year.
Massive prepration and arrangements for hosting the Assembly session of the state, are going in full swing to meet smoothly successful of the event.

The BTCLA House complex is decorated with attractive look as well healthy beautification along the BTC Secretariat.
Notably, the Budget Session of the Assam Assembly is to be marked to be held in BTCLA House for the first time out of the Assam Legislative Assembly House in it’s history of the assembly session.
On Thursday, an all party delegation from Assam Legislative Assembly led by Assam Legislative Assembly speaker, Biswajit Daimary, visited BTCLA House and BTC Secretariat,Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar, and participated in a meeting with Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Katiram Boro, BTC Legislative Assembly speaker, BTR executive members, and officials of the Govt of BTR.

The delegation team inspected the preparation and arrangements of the BTCLA House where Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will be held in Kokrajhar.
The meeting focussed on preparations for the upcoming one-day Budget Session, which is set to be held in Kokrajhar in February next year.

Earlier, Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary,and his delegation team offered floral tributes to Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma in front of the BTC Secretariat, Bodofa Nwgwr.
Later,the delegation team visited at the Dighli along the Bishmuri-Ultapani Road to take stock about the condition of the road connectivity as recently state government had sanctioned for road construction in the northern part of the district in Kokrajhar.
The team also visited at the Shyamtaibari-Dadgiri Road and Chapaguri-Rowmari Road in Chirang district as the road construction works under Assam Mala scheme are going on.
The team was accompanied by officials from concerned departments,Govt of Assam,and Govt of BTR.

Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, Biswajit Daimary stated that the Assembly delegation team visited at several places in Lower Assam’s districts including Kokrajhar,and Chirang to take stock about the ongoing construction sites of roads and bridges in the region.
He mentioned that a meeting with CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro and Speaker of BTCLA, Katiram Boro held in the presence of officials that discussed at length on the upcoming Budget Session of Assam Assembly to be held in Kokrajhar in February next year.He informed that the team reviewed on the prepration and arrangements for hosting assembly budget session in Kokrajhar at BTCLA House.He said that he will intimate Chief Minister,Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma within short span of days about the preparation and arrangements for hosting the Assembly Budget Session to be held in Kokrajhar.

CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro stated that today is the historic day for the people of Bodoland Territorial Region as an all party delegation team from the Assam Legislative Assembly visited the Kokrajhar,and inspected the BTCLA House to take stock about the prepration and arrangements for hosting the Assembly Session in February next year. He said that the Assembly delegation’s visit marked a milestone towards the ushering of welfare, development and peaceful environment in Bodoland region.He has welcomed the MLA delegation team under the leadership of Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary who were visited in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts.He said that the BTR government is committed to work for all round development of citizens and rendering relentless services.
