Amtisuwa Pwrbw celebrates at Kanthalguri in Kokrajhar 5

KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 24: The celebration of Amtisuwa Pwrbw (Ambubashi Festival) was concluded on Friday with a day-long programme scheduled held at Kanthalguri village playground in Kokrajhar district.
The celebration was organised by Kanthalguri village society in association with local youths to mark the seasonal festival of Amtisuwa.

A friendly football match between village veteran and village eleven youths was held. The match was concluded draw with 2-2 goals till the full time which created sporting amusement amongst the sporting lovers.
A tug of war competition for women was also conducted during the celebration.

Meanwhile, the village society offered warm welcome and felicitation to the students those are successfully passing out HSLC and HS final examinations, 2023 under the Kanthalguri village.
A total eight students including two of HS final examination were cleared their final examinations.
Each of the student was accorded warm welcome and felicitation with traditional Aronai, bunch of gifts along guardians of the students were also felicitated.

Need to be mentioned that the Kanthalguri village society is celebrating the Amtisuwa Pwrbw every year on the first week of Ashar month (23rd June) that led the villagers to be involved with the celebration with joy and integrity among the citizens.
The festival event saw a colourful dance showcase which gathered an applause from the audience.

Retired headmaster of SK Jeowary ME School, Sukhanjhora Karuna Kanta Basumatary, UPPL media cell secretary Hantigiri Narzary, Kanthalguri model school headmaster Kalendra Basumatary, and several dignataries were graced as guests in the event.
President of Kanthalguri village society, Motilal Mushahary presided over the programme.
He said that the village society has organised the Amtisuwa Pwrbw for facilitating an environment for celebration of the festival.He informed that the village society is the the festival every year during the first week of Ashar month.
