KOKRAJHAR, SEP 30: The Adhyasradha of Late Harkeswar Brahma, the father of Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma was held at his Chalani Batabari residence near Dotma in Kokrajhar on Saturday.
Notably, Harkeswar Brahma, was a noted social worker, who was passed away on 9th September of this month due to his age ailments at a private hospital in Kokrajhar.
The Adhyasradha was organised through the rituals of Brahmadhama.
Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Assam cabinet minister, Jayanta Mallah Baruah, Rajya Sabha MP, Rwngwra Narzary, eminent educationist from New Delhi, Dr Ramesh Bhardwaj, MLAs Lawrence Islary, Joyanta Basumatary, Jiran Basumatary, and many prominent personalities from different quarters were graced the occasion and offered tributes and extended their deep mourning as well condolences to the bereaved family members.
CEM Boro while paying tribute to Late Harkeswar Brahma, father of Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, said that the demise of late Brahma was loss of a guardian of the society in the area who was regarded as a social worker amongst the citizens.
“Today, offered my shraddhanjali to Late Harkeshwar Brahma, on his Adhyasradha, and pray for eternal peace of the departed soul”, Boro added.
