ABSU flag flies above 75 feet in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, OCT 1: In a significant step, the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has installed tallest flag on it’s history of journey since it’s founded in 1967.
The flag of the All-Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has gone above 75 feet in the sky in Kokrajhar-the city of peace on Monday to foster unity and stand together in any period of crisis. 
The student union’s flag measuring 30 feet in length and 20 in breath flies above 75 feet iron pole at the premises of Bodofa Children’s Park situated at Jwhwlao Dwimalu(JD) Road in Kokrajhar town. 

The president of the ABSU, Dipen Boro hoisted the large flag in the presence of vice president Kwrwmdao Wary and Principal of Kokrajhar Girls College Dr. Adaram Basumatary followed by paying floral tribute at the statue of Bodofa UN Brahma by Adaram Basumatary, Principal, Kokrajhar Girls College. 

ABSU president Dipen Boro said that the large flag of the ABSU will fly forever in the sky as a mark of peace, unity and solidarity. He said the ABSU promised to work for the betterment of the society and will stand United under the flag of the ABSU whenever they face crisis. He further said the Union will stand firm under the flag of the ABSU for the issues of the Bodos.
He said that the students union is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and uplift of the Bodos and other down trodden communities since it’s inception in the state.
