KOKRAJHAR, OCT 6: The influential All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has been continuing its agitation on demand of removal as well suspension of Bodoland University vice chancellor, Prof Laishram Ladusingh from Bodoland University and appointment of new vice chancellor with immediate step to meet a good governance in the educational institution.
The students union along with other organisations on Friday carried out a protest demonstration in front of the university complex, Debargaon in Kokrajhar.
Hundreds of students union activists, members and local citizens staged the demonstration with holding banner, placards and shouted slogans demanding immediate step against the Prof Laishram Ladusingh,vice chancellor of the university.
Notably, Prof Ladusingh has been accused of financial anomalies on the administration of the university,and yet he is holding the post of the vice chancellor.
The students union and local peoples have been alleged that Prof Ladusingh has been indulged massive financial irregularities while holding the post of vice chancellor, and that’s why the students are facing severe hardships while acquiring higher studies in the university.
The students union, even though carried out various agitation and submitted several memorandum to the Chancellor of the Bodoland University, who is Governor of Assam for initiating strong step, yet no any proper measures have been seen against the vice chancellor till date.
The students union has announced to take out indefinite protest against the vice chancellor till the appointment of new vice chancellor in the Bodoland University.
ABSU vice president, Khwrwmdao Wary while attending the protest demonstration, said that the students union and several organisations are demanding immediate strict step against the existing vice chancellor Prof Laishram Ladusingh, who is allegedly indulged massive financial irregularities in the university. He informed that Prof Ladusingh is an accused of corruption, yet he is reigning the post of vice chancellor.
He has demanded immediate strict step against the vice chancellor, and appointment of new vice chancellor in the universe to meet healthy educational environment.
He has termed that Prof Laishram Ladusingh is an accused administrator, and he is now not getting suited to continue as vice chancellor.
