KOKRAJHAR,MAR 14: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) demanded properly implementation of official language in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) i.e. Bodo, Assamese & English and provincialization of colleges and schools as per clause 6.3 of the historic BTR peace accord for paving the healthy development and integration of the educational upliftment.

A five-member delegation team of the students union led by its president Dipen Boro today met the Principal Secretary of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) at his BTC Secretariat,Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar and submitted a memorandum through him to the chief executive member (CEM) of BTR, Pramod Boro that seeking step for appointment of TET qualified candidates in elementary and secondary levels in the schools of BTR,proper implementation of official language in BTR i.e. Bodo, Assamese & English, immediate Recruitment of Grade III/IV employees in BTR against the vacancy position, provincialization of colleges and schools as per 6.3 of the BTR Accord,provide ex- gratia to the next of kin of martyrs of Bodoland movement and establishment of institutions as enlisted in memorandum of settlement (MoS) of BTR peace accord.

ABSU president Dipen Boro told that the students union today submitted the memorandum to the cem(BTR) where the students union highlighted about the immediate steps for bringing healthy solutions of the education related issues and implementation of the BTR peace accord clauses.He informed that the students union put demand immediate step to make appointment of TET qualified candidates in elementary and secondary levels in the schools in Bodoland region.
He said that the students union is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and integration of the citizens and accordingly urged for proper Implementation of official language in BTR i.e. Bodo, Assamese & English.
