KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 19: Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro said that the government of Bodoland Territorial Region is fully prepared to tackling flood related cases across the region.
Speaking the reporters at a press conference today held at BTC Secretariat, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar, CEM Boro said that BTC government have so far prepared necessary steps and measures to ensure safe and safety of peoples from the flood related affected cases in all districts of the BTR.
He informed that the BTC government have set up CEM’s flood control room for monitoring the flood incidents in Bodoland region.
He informed that the BTR government is well concerned about the flood situation and necessary rescue measures have been initiated.
He further informed that elected members of the Bodoland Territorial Region government including executive members have been stepping to monitor flood situation.
In Kokrajhar, BTR executive member Ranjit Basumatary visited at various flood affected areas in Kokrajhar town today. He was accompanied by senior officials of BTR government and met residents of town.
MLA Lawrence Islary also visited and took stock about the flood situation at Kokrajhar town and it’s adjoining areas.
In Udalguri, MCLA Sanjoy Swargiary at various places of Harisinga area and it’s adjoining areas to take stock about the prevailing flood situation.
Meanwhile, the UPPL party have so far appointed 10 party leaders as in-charge for monitoring and mitigation of flood related incidents in all districts in Bodoland region.
” The UPPL is fully prepared to tackle the flood related situation. UPPL party and it’s members are committed to work for all round development and welfare of the citizens, UPPL party said.
