KOKRAJHAR, OCT 19: The Kokrajhar district is witnessing a remarkable surge in community engagement as village-level activities under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan gain momentum. In a significant step towards grassroots development, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercises, transect walks, social mapping, and the establishment of Adi Sewa Kendras have been undertaken across notified villages.
With Village Mission Teams led by Village Nodal Officers actively engaging communities to spread awareness about the objectives and benefits of the Abhiyan, these initiatives have not only created a strong sense of ownership among the villagers but have also provided valuable insights into existing developmental gaps and areas of opportunity.
The feedback and data collected from these exercises will play a key role in formulating comprehensive Village Action Plans, which will subsequently inform the District Action Plan. This holistic, bottom-up approach ensures that the programme is rooted in the actual needs and aspirations of the people, empowering them to take part in shaping their developmental priorities.
The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan aims to bring about transformative and sustainable changes at the grassroots level, and the Kokrajhar District Administration remains fully committed to leveraging this initiative for inclusive growth and community empowerment.
