2nd District Task Force Meeting on SNID Polio Vaccination Held in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar, October 8: The 2nd District Task Force meeting on the Sub-National Immunization Day (SNID) for Polio Vaccination was held today at the District Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Kokrajhar, in the presence of Kabita Deka, ADC (Health), along with officials from all concerned departments.

The meeting focused on block-wise discussions regarding the preparedness and implementation strategy for the upcoming SNID Polio Vaccination drive. It was informed that the SNID campaign will commence on October 12 with booth-based vaccination activities, followed by house-to-house vaccination drives on October 13 and 14. Officials were directed to ensure that at least 60% coverage is achieved on the first day of the campaign.

In Kokrajhar district, a total of 1,21,677 children have been targeted under the SNID drive, covering 1,88,732 households and 1,374 villages. Training for health workers on the National Immunization Day (NID) activities was successfully completed on October 7, ensuring readiness at the grassroots level.

The meeting emphasized coordinated inter-departmental efforts to achieve full immunization coverage and maintain Kokrajhar’s polio-free status.
