Urge for speedy implementation of Bodo Accord clauses 

KOKRAJHAR,AUG 6: A four member delegation team of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) met and discussed with Union Home Secretary, Govind Mohan  and Pijush Goyal, Secretary, Govt of India that sought speedy implementation of Bodo Accord, 2020 clauses as per commitment.

The delegation was led by Dipen Boro, ABSU president,and other members are Rajya Sabha MP, Rwngwra Narzary,ABSU vice president Khwrwmdao Wary and and general secretary Khanindra Basumatary.The delegation submitted 
 submitted a reminder letter for speedy Implementation of Bodo Accord, 2020 as per commitment.

During discussion the students union insisted for passing of the bill of Article 280 and  the 125th Amendment of the sixth schedule of Indian Constitution on the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament. ST Hills status to Boro-Kachari living in Karbi Anglong as per Boro Accord, 2003 and 2020 and Release of Ranjan Daimary and six others from jail, the former NDFB leader and cadres were top priority during talk.

ABSU strongly raised for full-fledged implementation and expressed and as we have no intention but situation will compel to go for democratic peaceful movement from October, 2025 if remain undone.

For the first time the discussion was held at Central Common Secretariat, Kartavya Bhawan 3, New Delhi, Ministry of Home Affairs Block, fifth floor, which was inaugurated today itself by Hon’ble Prime Minister. 

ABSU president Dipen Boro stated that the discussion with union home secretary was fruitful that laid emphasise towards the speedy implementation of the Bodo Peace Accord,2020 as per spirit of the Bodo accord clauses.He said that union home secretary paid a kind patience on the issues raised by the students union delegation.

” Today ABSU delegation team had met and discussed with Union Home Secretary Sri Govind Mohan, IAS and Pijush Goyal, Secretary GoI, submitted a reminder letter for speedy Implementation of Bodo Accord, 2020 as per commitment. During discussion We insisted for passing of the bill of Article 280 and  the 125th Amendment of the sixth schedule of Indian Constitution on the ongoing monsoon session of the parliament. S.T.
