Minister UG Brahma distributes Ayushman Gold Card, Relief Cheques in  Chirang

KOKRAJHAR, JULY 20: In a significant development and welfare initiatives,  Assam cabinet minister of Handloom & Textiles, Sericulture, Soil Conservation, and Welfare of Bodoland Development Department, and Guardian Minister of Chirang, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, ceremonially distributed an Ayushman Bharat Gold Card to Padmashri awardee Sarbeswar Basumatary at a programme held at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s office at  Kajalgaon in Chirang district on Sunday.

The event also saw the distribution of cheques to four beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Assam;  smartphones were distributed to 40 Anganwadi workers—part of a larger initiative covering a total of 1,029 workers in the district.

Additionally, Certificates of Title for Forest Land under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, were presented to 14 beneficiaries, out of a total of 5,131 eligible individuals in the district.

The programme was graced by Bijni MLA Ajoy Kumar Roy, Sidli MLA Nirmal Kumar Brahma, BTC Executive Member Dhananjay Basumatary, Chirang DC Jatin Bora, along with several senior officials and dignitaries.

Minister Brahma emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive welfare, forest rights recognition, and digital facilitation for frontline workers.He said that the state government and BTR government are jointly rendering humanity welfare initiatives across the region,and I distributed land entitlement certificates, cheques of CM relief funds among the beneficiaries.He said that the state government and government of BTR are committed to work for all round development of the citizens.
