Bodo Mothers’ Association demands zero down of drugs and anti social activities

KOKRAJHAR,FEB 11: The Bodo Mothers’ Association (BMA) and All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) have demanded of zero down of drugs and all anti social activities from the society to have a congenial human well-being.
The mothers’ association and the ABSU jointly carried out an awareness and protest rally against various anti social activities across the district headquarters in the state of Assam on Tuesday,and sought a strict social initiatives amongst the society.

In Kokrajhar,the rally was started from the Bodofa Children’s Park,JD Road in Kokrajhar which has been aimed to  raise awareness and protest against various anti-social activities.
Several hundred student activists, citizens participated the rally with holding banner, placards marching through the streets of Kokrajhar town to voice their stand against social injustices.

ABSU vice president, Khwrwndao Wary flagged off the rally, and urged for healthy social living amongst the citizens.

zero down of drugs and all anti-social activities from the society is the key objective of the rally being organised by the Bodo Mothers’ Association and the students union.
He said that the rally aimed to raise awareness and demand immediate action against the rising menace of anti-social activities in our society.

”  This protest is not just a rally but a collective voice for justice, safety, and social reform. Let’s stand united in eradicating these evils and securing a better tomorrow for our society”,he said.
“It is my great privilege to be part of a significant movement as the Bodo Mothers’ Association organized an Awareness cum Protest Rally across all district headquarters in Assam, including the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) which is aimed to raise awareness and demand immediate action against the rising menace of anti-social activities in our society”,he said.

The demands of the movement being organised by the Bodo Mothers’ Association and All Bodo Students Union, include: eradication of drugs, alcohol, and illegal liquor – Substance abuse has been destroying families and youth. Strict measures must be implemented to curb this issue, stopping of the child marriage – early marriage deprives children, especially girls, of their education, health, and rights. Strong enforcement of laws is necessary.

The prevention of women trafficking – Women and young girls are being exploited through trafficking. Awareness and stringent legal action are crucial to ending this crime and ending child abuse, rape, and murder – Crimes against children are rising, and justice must be swift and strict to ensure their safety and future.

The awareness and protest rally was was also carried out several districts of Bodoland Territorial Region as well as across the state of Assam that received a good response from the citizens.
