Bodoland career counsellors meet held in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, MAY 10: The first edition of Bodoland Career Counsellors Meet,2023 was held at Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari in Kokrajhar on Wednesday which discussed thoroughly over the welfare and development of future of the students fraternities in Bodoland region.
Altogether 1200 career counsellors who were appointed by government of Bodoland Territorial Region, participated the event which was organised by Education department of BTR under the aegis of flagship Bodoland career counselling programme.

Notably,the Bodoland career counselling programme has been aimed to provide effective career guidance and institutional support to students from high schools, higher secondary schools, and degree colleges of Bodoland region.
The programme has been regarded as a heralding the dawn of a new era of exciting new careers for the youth of BTR which is a ongoing process with training and counselling for students will be held on regular basis.

Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro inaugurated the programme amidst presence of huge participation from across the region.
Boro has highlighted about the career counselling programme which has aimed to provide effective career guidance and institutional support among the students.
He said that the career counselling is a flagship programme of BTR government to make a healthy future of the students among the society.
He informed that this is the first time in the history of BTR, the first Bodoland Career Counsellors Meet was held today and so far 1200 Career Counsellors are appointed and gathered in one platform to help the youth of BTR chart their career. He mentioned that this is in line with government’s goal of ensuring a successful career for every student of BTR.

Among others, MLA Lawrence Islary,BTR executive members Dr Nilut Swargiary, ABSU vice-president Khwrwmdao Wary were prominent attendees in the event.
