World Cancer Day observes in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR,FEB 4: Along with the rest of the state, the World Cancer Day was observed on Tuesday in Kokrajhar-the city of peace with various awareness initiatives to educate people about the risks of cancer and promote early detection and prevention.

Notably, the February 4 is observing every year as World Cancer Day on which the day marks discussion on the awareness building on the cancer detection and prevention measures.

As part of the observance, a bike rally was conducted from Rup Nath Brahma Civil Hospital, Kokrajhar to Salakati.
The rally was flagged off by Dr. Nirmal Singh, Superintendent, Cancer Care Centre, Kokrajhar.
More than 50 bikers participated in the rally which was started at the Rup Nath Brahma Civil Hospital.

The observance of World Cancer Day in Kokrajhar aims to enhance public awareness and provide valuable information on cancer care, ensuring better health outcomes for the community.
During the program, medical staffs, doctors and nurses as well officials of the health and family welfare department participated.
