KOKRAJHAR, DEC 12: The government of Bodoland Territorial Region under the leadership of Pramod Boro, the chief executive member (CEM) is set to celebrate a significant milestone, marking its fourth anniversary, with a two-day event on 14th and 15th December 2024, themed “Regaining Sustainable Peace, Harmony, and Integrity.”
The celebrations will not only reflect on the region’s achievements under the present administration but also highlight a vision for a brighter, more prosperous future for the citizens of the Bodoland region.
Notably,the BTR government was formed four year’s ago on 15th December (2020) under the leadership of CEM Pramod Boro,and since then rendered humanity welfare services for bringing healthy development.
On 14th December, government offices, educational institutions, and block development offices across the region will take part in a series of activities designed to foster community engagement and promote collective responsibility. The day will begin with the “My Bodoland, Clean Bodoland” initiative, featuring a Safai Abhiyan (cleanliness drive) across the region. Local leaders, including EMs, MCLAs, TCLLC and VCDC members, along with government officers, community leaders, and other stakeholders, will participate in this meaningful event.
Following this, a seminar themed “My Bodoland, Peaceful Bodoland” will be held, with keynote addresses by eminent citizens and experts. These talks will provide insights into sustainable peace, showcasing the BTR government’s vision of a “peaceful, smart, and green Bodoland”.
The grand celebration on 15th December will take place at the Bhergaon Mini Stadium in Udalguri district. The event will also honour partner agencies for their exceptional contributions to BTR’s development.
This two-day celebration not only offers a moment to reflect on the progress made in the past four years but also serves as a reaffirmation of BTR’s commitment to promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development in the region.
Meanwhile,a meeting with BTR executive members (EMs), NCLAs and senior government officials of the Govt of BTR was held on Wednesday to discuss in depth over the upcoming fourth anniversary celebration of the BTR government to be held at Bhergaon on 15th December.
The meeting was chaired by Pramod Boro,the CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, being held at the Small Tea Growers’ Association office complex, Dimakuchi in Udalguri district.The meeting also formed an organising committee to host the grand celebration in a colourful programme manner.
CEM Boro stated that the government of Bodoland Territorial Region is organising a grand celebration of the fourth anniversary of the UPPL led government in BTR with befitting programme scheduled at Bhergaon.He informed that necessary preparation and arrangements are going in full swing to host the grand celebration of the anniversary.He said that the BTR government is committed to work for all round development of the citizens,and accordingly launched various missions and visions to extend humanity welfare services.
