Encounter Two KLO members killed busted camp in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 24: In a breakthrough two members of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) militant organisation were neutralised at an encounter with security forces today held in Kokrajhar district.
According to police source, a search operation was carried out by security forces comprising of police after getting an information about the movement activities and camp established of KLO militant organisation along the Baokhungri Hills area in Kokrajhar district and subsequently an encounter was held between security forces team and KLO members where two KLO militant organisation members found dead in the spot and four other members were apprehended besides the KLO camp was also busted inside the Baokhungri Hills.

The search operation was led by Nabanita Sharma, additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Kokrajhar.
The deceased KLO members were identified as Abhijit Deka (Udalguri) and Nippon Roy (Bongaigaon).
During the operation,a based camp of KLO militant organisation was also busted and apprehended four members along the Maoriagaon area inside the Baokhungri Hills and recovered several objectionable goods, materials which were used by militant organisation.
The apprehended KLO members were identified as Amal Jyoti Biswas(Udalguri),Rananjay Laskar(Udalguri),Pranjit Rai(Chirang) and Ganesh Biswas (Udalguri).

Police administration has intensified strict steps against the militant organisation in the district and able to neutralised two KLO members today in Kokrajhar.
” The search operation against the KLO militant organisation was successful in Kokrajhar which led to make neutralise of two KLO members as well apprehend four other members and busted a based camp of the militant organisation inside the Baokhungri Hills.The KLO militant organisation members were involved with perpetration of demand served for extortion from citizens including businessman in the area since few months”, said a senior police officer.
