UPPL holds core committee meeting in Kokrajhar

Focussed on the upcoming bye election in Sidli Chirang LAC 

KOKRAJHAR,AUG 19: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), an alliance partner of NDA hold it’s extended core committee meeting on Sunday evening at the central office of the party in Kokrajhar.

The meeting was chaired by UPPL president and CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro,and attended by senior party leaders and elected representatives of the party.
The meeting discussed at length on various aspects of the preparation of strategies of party affairs including upcoming Assembly bye elections scheduled to be held in September next in the state, especially Sidli Chirang LAC.
The meeting adopt several resolutions for strengthening the party affairs as well preparation for the upcoming Assembly bye election especially focussing the Sidli Chirang LAC.

The by-election will take place in five assembly constituencies across Assam. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to leave two of these constituencies to its NDA alliance partners, the UPPL and the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).

UPPL general secretary,Raju Kumar Narzary told that a high-level core committee meeting was held to discuss the upcoming by-election and various party-related issues. He confirmed that as an alliance partner of the NDA, UPPL will participate in the by-election.
He said that UPPL party has prepared necessary strategy to contest the bye election in Sidli Chirang LAC. He has expressed his confident that UPPL party candidate is winning the bye election in Sidli Chirang LAC in a majority votes as peoples cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support to the NDA backed UPPL candidate.He said that the UPPL party is now gaining up it’s popularity amongst the citizens as BTR government is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the citizens since it’s inception in the government.
