MP Joyanta Basumatary takes oath in Bodo language in Parliament

KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 24: Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Kokrajhar constituency, Joyanta Basumatary sworn as Member of Parliament to the 18th Lok Sabha on Monday amidst presence of huge gathering of newly elected members to the Parliament.

Notably, Basumatary was elected to the Lok Sabha from UPPL party, backed by the NDA alliance from Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency defeating BPF candidate, Kampa Borgoyary in a margin of over 50000 votes. Earlier,he was elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly from Sidli Chirang LAC in Assam.
Basumatary took his oath in Bodo language in the Parliament followed by other members in the Parliament.
