KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 7: Along with rest of the state, the World Food Safety Day was observed on Thursday at the conference hall of the joint director of health services (DHS) in Kokrajhar, which has emphasized the importance of maintaining food safety to ensure public health and prevent foodborne diseases.
The event discussed elaborately on the ensure of the food safety measures,and saw the active participation of food business operators, ICDS supervisors, workers, health workers, senior citizens, and students from Kokrajhar Girls Higher Secondary School.
Additional district commissioner (
ADC) for Health, Kokrajhar, Kabita Deka; Designated Officer, Food Safety headquarters, Kokrajhar, Bilifang Brahma; and Food Safety Officer, Gossaigaon, Jaiklong Narzary, Chakramani Brahma, Coordinator of the National Children’s Science Congress and Kokrajhar District Coordinator, graced the occasion and shared insights on food safety measures.
The speakers highlighted on the various strategies and practices that can be implemented to enhance food safety standards in the region.
The initiative has been aimed to raise awareness and promote a culture of food safety among the community members, ensuring safer food practices for all in the region.
“The day observation has been highlighted on the positive aspect of the food safety measures for maintaining good food practices and healthy health measures”,said a student participant.
