NDA backed UPPL candidate will win Kokrajhar HPC: Joyanta Basumatary

KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 3: The count down within the different political party’s candidate, contesting independent candidates including the NDA back UPPL candidate, Joyanta Basumatary are seen busy while claiming the winning the Lok Sabha elections in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency as 12 hours left to the counting of votes scheduled to be held on 4th June.

The UPPL candidate backed by the NDA, Joyanta Basumatary today said the the UPPL candidate in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency and BJP candidate in Darrang-Udalguri constituency are getting the last laught on June 4 as the NDA is going to capture all two seats in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) districts.

Interacting with the reporters in Kokrajhar on Monday, NDA candidate for Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency, Basumatary said the winning of UPPL in Kokrajhar and BJP in Darrang-Udalguri seats was firmed. He said he will win the poll by a difference of 2-2.5 lakhs margin votes in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency. He also said the people of the region had faith and confidence on the UPPL party. He further said that he will concentrate on the issue of implementation of remaining clauses of BTR peace accord and common issues of people of the region.
He said that his candidature is got huge people’s supports,and subsequently his winning is cleared, no doubt.

Meanwhile, UPPL general secretary and MCLA (BTC), Madhab Chandra Chetry said there was no doubt on the victory of NDA backed candidates. He said Joyanta Basumatary of UPPL backed by the NDA in Kokrajhar and Dilip Saikia of BJP from Darrang-Udalguri constituency will undoubtedly win the elections. He said the name of BPF will vanish from tomorrow onwards as the people of the region have faith only on UPPL.He said that common masses have avoided opposition BPF party, and now party become irrelevant amongst the citizens in Bodoland region.
He has wished a healthy,and smooth completion of the counting of votes scheduled to be held on Tuesday in a peaceful manner across the state including Bodoland region.

On the other hand, BPF candidate, Kampa Borgoyary claimed that his candidature is winning the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency., said that he had received huge supports from the citizens.
