KOKRAJHAR, MAY 31: In a shock, two members of a family including father were found dead after drowning at a pond this afternoon in Kokrajhar district.
The incident took place at Sesapani village under Kokrajhar police station.
According to local peoples, both father and his youngest son went for bath at a village pond this afternoon where they met mishap.
Local peoples have tried to rescue them within the few minutes of the incident, but found dead both of them on the pond and accordingly lifeless bodies were recovered.
Bodies were identified as Rajaram Narzary,49(father) and his son Khwrwmjit Narzary (7). Bodies have been sent for postmortem.
Rajaram Narzary was former village headman of Sesapani village,and was a social worker in the area.
Peoples cutting across the caste and communities have extended their deep shock into the incident as well as deep condolences and mourning on the untimely demise of Rajaram Narzary and his youngest son.
