Pramod Boro presents Rs.1395.93 lakh interim budget for BTCLA

KOKRAJHAR, MAR 7: A one-day interim normal budget session (vote on account) of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) for 2024-25 was conducted at the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly(BTCLA) House, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar on Thursday.

Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Council, who is also in-charge of Finance, presented the interim normal budget (vote on account) of the Bodoland Territorial Council for the period from the 1st April, 2024 to the 30th June 2024 before the August House of Bodoland Territorial Council Assembly.

The interim budget is purely for drawal of Salary & Wages only for 3 (three) months for officers & staff of BTC Secretariat starting from 1st April, 2024 to 30th June, 2024 for an amount of Rs. 1395.93 Lakh.

Speaker of the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly, Katiram Boro, chaired the budget session, and discussed widely on the vote on account of the BTC Legislative Assembly.

In his budget speech, CEM Pramod Boro said that the full-budget of the BTC normal budget for the Financial Year 2024-25 shall be presented before the August House after lifting of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
He said that the BTR government is committed to work for all round development of the citizens, and subsequently rendering services for bringing healthy welfare and development of the region. He said that the government of BTR is emphasizing for establishing of healthy economic development amongst peoples of the region in days to come.

Meanwhile, CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Boro also inaugurated a Medical Unit and Library at BTC Legislative Assembly Building to facilitate the medical services and reading environment amongst the elected representatives of the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly.

Speaker of BTC Legislative Assembly, Katiram Boro, deputy Speaker Abhiram Mahanayak, deputy chief executive member, Gobinda Chandra Basumatary, BTR executive members were present in the event.
